A Legacy of Academic Excellence Since 2014

The journey of the National Education Olympiad began in 2014 as the Naman Olympiad, an educational initiative launched by socially committed students of the Central University of Jharkhand under the banner of the Naman Foundation.

The initiative was created with a simple yet powerful objectiveβ€”to provide quality academic competitions that inspire students to learn beyond textbooks.

During 2014–2015, the Olympiad successfully conducted examinations, talent search programmes, and educational competitions across various districts of Jharkhand, including tribal, rural, and aspirational regions. More than 50,000 student participations were recorded during the early editions of the Olympiad, making it one of the region's most impactful educational initiatives. Outstanding performers were recognized through grand Felicitation and Award Ceremonies attended by distinguished academicians, educationists, public representatives, and invited guests.

In 2021, the Naman Foundation was restructured as the Naman International Foundation for Education and Social Research (NIFESR) with an expanded national vision.

Building upon its rich educational legacy, the Olympiad has now been re-launched nationwide as the National Education Olympiad (NEO) to serve students across India.

Today, NEO continues its mission of empowering young minds through knowledge, innovation, competition, and academic excellence.
