"Inspiring Youth. Empowering Villages. Transforming India."
The Youth for Rural India Fellowship (YRIF) is a prestigious National Fellowship Programme launched by the Naman International Foundation for Education and Social Research (NIFESR) to develop a new generation of young leaders committed to strengthening rural education, community engagement, and sustainable development across India.
India's villages are the foundation of the nation's social, cultural, and economic progress. While rural communities possess tremendous potential, many continue to face challenges in access to quality education, youth development, digital inclusion, and educational opportunities. The Youth for Rural India Fellowship addresses these challenges by connecting passionate young graduates, educators, researchers, and professionals with rural schools and communities, enabling them to create meaningful and measurable social impact.
The Fellowship offers a 3 to 6-month immersive field experience, where Fellows work directly with schools, students, village institutions, and local communities. Through teaching, mentoring, awareness campaigns, leadership development, and community-based initiatives, Fellows become catalysts for positive change while gaining invaluable professional and leadership experience. More than a Fellowship, Youth for Rural India is a national movement dedicated to empowering villages through education, leadership, innovation, and service.
To build a nationwide network of socially responsible leaders dedicated to strengthening rural education, empowering communities, and contributing to an inclusive and developed India.
